Ben Francis
Ben is a geotechnical engineer with Tonkin & Taylor in Auckland. Ben has a BE(Hons) and MEngSt(Geotech) from the University of Auckland. He has a broad interest in geotechnical engineering design, with a focus in liquefaction and geotechnical earthquake engineering. He works on technically challenging projects both in Auckland and across NZ, providing design solutions for Clients.
He is actively involved with developing graduate level staff, developing and implementing initiatives to provide support for their growth within Tonkin & Taylor and the industry.
Lynette Sla
Lynette is a geotechnical engineer with Delve Underground. She graduated in the US with a BSc (Civil) and MSc (Geotechnical) from the University of Washington before joining the company in 2011. Lynette moved to NZ in 2017 and is now based in their Auckland office providing design support and coordination for a variety of underground projects in the US, NZ, and Australia, with a particular focus on tunnel and shaft excavation support.
Vick Kumaran
Vick is a Chartered Geotechnical Engineer and is a Technical Director at Mott MacDonald. He has extensive experience working with geotechnical consultancy firms and specialist contractors, accumulating a variety of exposure to complex ground conditions and engineering risks. He has worked on various infrastructure projects in New Zealand, Australia, and Malaysia
Sadeq Asadi
Sadeq is a chartered geotechnical engineer at Jacobs, based in Auckland, with 15 years of industry and research experience in New Zealand and internationally. Throughout his career, he has held several technical and operational leadership roles, contributing to a wide range of major geotechnical projects. Sadeq completed his PhD at the University of Auckland in 2017, where his research focused on developing a method to classify crushable pumiceous soils and creating design guidelines for the liquefaction assessment of pumiceous soils.
